McGregor's works provide an optimistic space for visual exploration. Her abstracted forms appear as imaginary landscapes for viewers. Natural patterning, organic forms, and stimulating colour are all paramount in McGregor's work, which takes an interdisciplinary approach as she explores her ideas through media such as acrylic on panels, watercolour on paper, ceramic and textiles.
Jennifer McGregor is a Canadian artist known for her poured acrylic works that feature magical, translucent colour. Originally from Alberta, McGregor began a career in design before attending the Ontario College of Art and Design (now OCAD University) majoring in Drawing and Painting. After three years in Florence, Italy, she returned to Toronto in 2006 where she currently lives and paints.
