about the exhibition :
Mood of the week: Creatures
Exhibition from 09 December to 15 December 2024
The Surrealists are in the limelight in the latest exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, and Max Ernst's creature headlining the show has prompted us to take an interest in chimeras. Our imagination often pushes us to the edge of the bizarre, the chimerical, the supernatural, when we evoke the word creature. There are two types of incredible creature: terrestrial animals on the one hand, and fictional ones on the other, which often combine human, animal or even technological characteristics. So this week we're letting our imaginations soar, just like our artists, who don't hesitate to push back the boundaries of reality. Skeletons, lizards, humanoids, feathered dogs... welcome to our very special Noah's Ark.
